The 2025 edition of the European Geothermal Congress (EGC) will take place from October 6th to 10th, 2025, at the Zurich Congress Centre, Switzerland.
Organised by EGEC Geothermal in collaboration with Geothermie-Schweiz, this event is the perfect platform to share your ideas, research, and experiences with leaders in the geothermal energy field.
- Approved authors were informed of the acceptance decision on 11 March.
- Authors of accepted abstracts must submit their full papers. On 25th of April, the deadline has been extended to 12 May.
- Submission instructions were sent by email on 5 May. More information can be found below.
- If you did not receive the email, please check your junk or spam folder and your quarantine report.
Final papers will be required by 12 May 2025. The papers (maximum 10 pages) will be published in the conference proceedings in electronic form.
You are now asked to submit a full paper before Congress, which we will call an “extended paper.” EGC also allows you to update your paper after the congress with a final version before the end of 2025.
The update after the congress is not obligatory but it allows you to present more recent results. If you do not update your paper after the congress, the extended paper will be considered the final version.

2) When you have finished writing your extended paper, go to the main submission page in B2match:
submit your extended paper(s) in B2match where you have already submitted your abstract. This will be available on your profile.
Conference fees
Information about the conference fees will be available in the Spring of 2025.
