The 2022 edition of the European Geothermal Congress (EGC) is organised by EGEC Geothermal in cooperation with the German Geothermal Association (BvG).

About EGEC Geothermal

EGEC, the European Geothermal Energy Council, is a non-profit international organisation founded in 1998 to promote the European geothermal industry and enable its development both in Europe and worldwide, by shaping policy, improving business condition, and driving more research and development. Based in Brussels, it works with its members on policy, market intelligence, and communication, providing a link between the industry and European institutions. More than 130 members from 28 countries, including developers, equipment manufacturers, electricity providers, national associations, consultants, research centres, geological surveys, and public authorities, make EGEC a unique network, uniting and representing the entire geothermal sector.

About the German Geothermal Association (BvG)

The German Geothermal Association (BVG), established in 1991, represents companies and individual members. It advocates the use of all existing geothermal technologies ranging from shallow to deep, and from cooling to heating, and the production of electricity. The main objectives of BvG are informing the public about the advantages and the possible uses of geothermal energy; promoting the dialogue with politicians and political leaders; improving the conditions and the political situation on a national-, European- and international level; supporting research & development.
