Instructions for authors
Thank you for participating in the European Geothermal Congress (EGC) 2019. Whether you are presenting an oral or a poster, please read carefully the instructions below and download the full guidelines for instructions on how to submit your final presentation.
If selected for an oral presentation, you have been allocated a slot of approximately 20 minutes, including discussion. You can check the slot you have been allocated on the Congress website, at the page: CONGRESS PROGRAMME

Ahead of the session
All speakers should have sent a copy of the PowerPoint presentation by email and MUST bring a copy with them to the event on a USB stick. Speakers must bring the final presentation to the Speakers’ Room (North America) no less than 1 hour before the start of your session. This will ensure that the presentation is available in the room at the start of the session.
If you need to make changes to your presentation, or if you are not sure how the system or the microphones work, please visit the Speakers’ Room. Changes to your presentation can be made 1 working hour before your presentation.
The opening times of the speaker room are:
- Tuesday 11 June: 11:30 – 17:30
- Wednesday 12 June: 08:30 – 17:30
- Thursday 13 June: 08:30 – 14:30
We have a copy of all presentations submitted within the deadline of May 31st 2019. If the presentation was sent after the deadline and/or you did not receive a confirmation email, the organisers cannot guarantee a backup copy.
At the session
Please be in the room 10 minutes before the start of your session and make yourself known to the session chair.
Last minute changes and substitutions from the printed programme may occur. We advise authors to check the online programme for last minute changes. Amendments may be announced and published during the event.
We also advise authors to download and use the Congress App to receive latest updates. Instructions on how to download the Congress App are available here.
If selected for a poster presentation you will be required to display a poster in the exhibition hall for the duration of the conference. You will have the opportunity to present your poster in dedicated poster sessions.

All details of your online submission (title, authors, organisations, abstract) need to be up to date with your final paper for the compilation of the proceedings. You can edit your details by clicking on EDIT SUBMISSION, at the MAIN SUBMISSION PAGE.
You have time until April 15th to update your details. The organisers are not responsible for incorrect details in the online submission.
Register for the congress
The presenting author must be present and register to the Congress for both oral and poster presentations by April 15th. If you have not registered by 15th April 2019, your paper will be removed from the congress programme and the proceedings.
If the presenter differs from the main contact author listen in the online submission, please communicate the name of the presenter to the EGC Secretariat as soon as possible and no later than April 15th.

- Dismounting of poster presentation: 13 June 2019, After 16:00
Note that events will also be held on Monday 10th and Friday 14th.
